POSITION INTRODUCTION
The Administrative Assistant II is a shared position, 50% Fiscal and 50% Registrar. Under the
direction of the Director of Administration, the Administrative Assistant II assists the Fiscal
Officer in maintaining the accounting system using accounting software and Excel. Process
deposits for the agency within the timely deposit guidelines. Assist directors and program
coordinators with purchases. Maintain vendor relations. Assists Registrar and is a backup for
Registrar duties and serves as the Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics. Responsible for assuring
the issuance of birth and death certificates as well as burial permits in a manner consistent with
Ohio law. Additionally, is responsible for ensuring the security of storage of all vital records as
well as the security paper upon which they are printed when issued. The Administrative
Assistant II is expected to exercise sound professional and strategic judgement in meeting the
needs of divisions and the public. Is responsible for assuring agency processes, procedures, and
tasks occur appropriately. Is responsible for maintaining open and appropriate communication
between and among agency and the public. This position is considered as a Tier 1 (Front Line
Staff/Entry Level) under Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals.
Salary Range:
$15.30 - $18.36 hr.- Range depends upon experience

Education:
• Associate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent working experience, supplemented
by coursework in office practices and procedures and computer operation, or an
equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience.
License/Certification:
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and auto insurance required.
• Ability to pass a B.C.I. Background Check
• Ability to pass a Drug Screening
