Job Description Summary
JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Embedded Admissions Associate is responsible for the overall management of student recruiting for the Pickaway County region from prospect and inquiry to applied, admitted, and enrolled stages. This person will provide leadership and oversight of all recruitment and enrollment activities and initiatives within their given territory, including initiation and maintenance of referral sources and K-12 school relationships; management of an individual student prospect portfolio; and coordination of on-campus and field recruiting events. This role will focus on fostering relationships within Pickaway County, Ohio, collaborating closely with the Pickaway County Educational Service Centers (ESC) to recruit prospective students, provide information about our institution, and guide them through the admissions process.

DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:
1. Recruitment, admissions and enrollment
Plan, develop, implement and monitor admissions recruitment programs while maintaining workloads, work-flows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization of assigned programs.
Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to Pickaway County, including high schools, community organizations, and other educational institutions, to attract and enroll prospective students. Serve as main point of contact for Pickaway Ross CTC.
Researches, interprets, clarifies, and adjudicates a variety of problems dealing with, but not limited to, admissions, registration, matriculation, residency, student academic status, course class conflicts, and fees. Works to complete all incomplete applications, as well as solicit applications from non-applied inquiries and solicit deposits from admitted students.
Assists in the research and development of contact lists for potential new marketing and recruitment channels, partnerships, and outreach.
Cultivate partnerships and pipeline relationships with other organizations and institutions, such as school districts and professional organizations.
Serves as a role model and mentor to others on the team assisting others with product knowledge mastery, technology and process effective usage, and other best practices for successful new student recruitment.
2. Onboarding Coordination
Provide personalized guidance and support to prospective students, assisting them throughout the admissions process, including application submission, financial aid information, and enrollment procedures.
Maintains contact with admitted and registered students and/or their parents to facilitate retention.
Connects students with appropriate resources with the institution (e.g., career services, student success, veteran's services, accessibility services, etc.)
Develops working relationships with all members, departments, counselors, and advisors to disseminate admissions, financial aid, housing, tuition, and registration information to ensure and enhance customer service and satisfaction.
Maintain current and accurate knowledge of policies and procedures related to admissions, orientation, transfer credit processes, scholarships, financial aid, student services activities, residence halls, academic programs, athletics, student organizations, etc.
3. Performance Management
Establishes performance goals for each term or semester by maintaining targeted conversion metrics at each stage of the admission process.
Creates and maintains database of inbound and outbound call communication results with current and prospective students regarding applying for admission, financial aid, registration, and graduation.
Reviews and manages reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions, personal schedule, travel, special programs, and/or expense reports.
Develop strategy for reports related to recruiting and admissions, contact students and assist in enrollment or re-enrollment, and connect students to financial aid, registrar, housing, orientation, advising, veteran's office or other organizations on campus to assist in the admissions process.
4. Maintain Area of Specialty
Serve as the primary liaison between our institution and Pickaway County's Educational Service Centers, building strong relationships and partnerships to promote our programs and educational opportunities.
Completes routine reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions, personal schedule, travel, special programs, and/or expense reports.
Monitor all reports related to recruiting and admissions, contact students and assist in enrollment or re-enrollment, and connect students to financial aid, registrar, housing, orientation, advising, veteran's office or other organizations on campus to assist in the admissions process.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must excel in relationship-building and organizational skills, be able to multitask, work independently and as a team player, and have an aptitude for detail-oriented tasks.
Ability to analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action.
Requires well-developed human relation skills to make presentations, conduct training and review performance, explain technical and legal procedures to others, resolve conflicts, and portray a positive image of the University.
Requires the ability to compose professional correspondence and reports.
Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and a goal-oriented, self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE)
Bachelor’s degree in related field (business, communications, public relations, marketing, counseling) with at least three (3) years of experience in the field or in relationship-based, sales, coaching or counseling, or:
Associate's degree will be considered for applicants with significant and specific experience of at least 5 years.
Sales and relationship development experience preferred.
Reside in Pickaway County, or be within commutable distance of the Pickaway County ESC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven (7) years working experience in the field or in relationship-based, sales, coaching or counseling.
Shawnee State University Alumnus
Demonstrated experience at and/or affinity to Shawnee State University.
