Director of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement

As a member of the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, the Director of

Health Promotion and Quality Improvement is responsible for directing and managing the

health districts attainment and maintenance of national accreditation. This includes serving as

the agency’s Quality Improvement expert and performance management lead. With the

assistance of the Health Commissioner, the position will lead tri-annual Community Health

Assessments and development of the subsequent Community Health Improvement Plans. The

Director of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement will maintain oversight of various

Health Improvement Grant programs / initiatives as assigned through supervision of grant staff

and ensuring performance goals, objectives and deliverables are being met.

The Director is expected to exercise sound professional and strategic judgement in developing

the workforce and the programming of the Division. The Director will meet regularly with the

Health Commissioner to discuss both opportunities and challenges regarding the promotion

and protection of the health of Ross County’s population. The Director will frequently represent

Ross County Health District in the community.
