2024 National Chamber of Commerce Week is going to be a doozy in Ross County
Chamber office hours, new 'Inside the Business' feature, and more planned
We eagerly look forward to celebrating National Chamber of Commerce Week, Oct. 14 through 18, with our members. It's a time to recognize and appreciate the vital role that chambers of commerce play in our communities.
We will have giveaways, fun activities, challenges, and more to spotlight throughout the week.
For example, we're going "Inside the Business!" Each staff member will spend a morning inside one of our members' businesses, working alongside the employees and documenting the time on our Facebook story. If you'd like us to work in your business this week, email Mike Throne and tell us your idea.
Here's what we're planning that week:
Monday, Oct. 14: We'll all need a little pick-me-up at the end of a Monday, so we're buying ice cream for our members at Parkside Ice Creamery from 4 to 6 p.m. Stop by and say hello to new owners, Trevor Kendall and Amy Rann, and get a scoop on us. We'll also have a Chamber Challenge to roll out at noon.
Tuesday, Oct. 15: We'll be at the Pioneer Center Employer Appreciation Breakfast and have a giveaway to pull at noon, but we're going "Inside the Business" at one member business.
Wednesday, Oct. 16: National Chamber of Commerce Day, and what better way to celebrate than at the Business After Business? We're gathering at 5 p.m. at The Cozy Inn. In the morning, we'll also be at the Ohio University Chillicothe Community Partners reception on campus and have another "Inside the Business" feature.
Thursday, Oct. 17: We're back "Inside the Business," and we'll have a giveaway at noon.
Friday, Oct. 18: We're ending the work week by heading to Kingston to hold Chamber Office Hours in the village. We'll be at the Kingston branch of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and meeting with our members in that area. It's the first Office Hours event we're holding, and we'll be traveling around the county in the coming year.
