announce the opening of its 2026 Promotional Grant Assistance Program. This annual initiative

aims to provide funding support to organizations, attractions, and special events in the Chillicothe

and Ross County area to promote events that enhance tourism and drive overnight stays.

The Promotional Grant Assistance Program seeks to increase overnight stays in Ross County,

promotes a positive image of the region, and attracts visitors from beyond a 100-mile radius.

Additionally, it encourages spending in local businesses and highlights new or expanded events

and programs that showcase the area’s rich culture and history.

To qualify for funding, applicants must demonstrate how their event or program will promote

tourism in Ross County. The program is open to both non-profit and profit organizations with the

emphasis on increasing tourism. Eligible recipients must credit the Ross-Chillicothe CVB in

promotional materials and be represented at the annual Tourism Banquet, where funds will be

awarded. Completed applications, including all supporting documentation, must be submitted by

3:00 PM on March 16, 2026, as late submissions will not be considered.

determined based on demonstrated need and available program funds. Administrative or capital

improvement costs are not eligible for funding.
