AEP Ohio Foundation donates $10K to Scioto Valley YMCA

Donation will support at-risk youth food program

Representatives of AEP Ohio presented a $10,000 check from the AEP Ohio Foundation to the Scioto Valley YMCA to support its at-risk youth food program. This important initiative provides free breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the school year, serving more than 20 local children each day.

Funding from the AEP Ohio Foundation will help sustain this vital community resource and support the YMCA's ongoing efforts to improve the health and well-being of local youth and families. Through partnerships like this, AEP Ohio and the Scioto Valley YMCA are working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children throughout the region.

We are proud to support organizations that strengthen our communities and provide essential services to the families they serve. This investment reflects the power of collaboration between local businesses and nonprofit organizations to address critical community needs and create lasting positive impact.

AEP Ohio aims to support and play an active, positive role in communities where we live and work.  Providing financial support to nonprofit organizations within its service territories is just one way AEP Ohio works toward this goal. The AEP Ohio Foundation awards charitable grants within communities served by AEP Ohio, an operating subsidiary of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP). The AEP Ohio Foundation, along with the rest of the American Electric Power Foundation, is funded by AEP and its operating subsidiaries solely through shareholder dollars.
