Goodwill sets dates for Dream Retreat day camp for adults with disabilities
Goodwill of South Central Ohio will be hosting a day camp for adults with disabilities in August.
Dream Retreat will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1-5, 2022, at Buzzard’s Roost, 514 Red Bird Lane in Chillicothe. The camp is open to individuals with disabilities ages 18 and older who reside in Ross, Pickaway, or Pike counties. There is no cost to attend.
Campers will participate in a variety of activities during the week including: hiking; a scavenger hunt; cornhole and other games; arts and crafts; music and dancing; gardening; tie-dye; karaoke; and off-site trips interacting with community agencies.

Goodwill has been offering a summer day camp for individuals with disabilities since 2020. The camp is a joint venture between Goodwill, the Ross County Park District, and the board of developmental disabilities in Ross, Pickaway, and Pike counties.
Goodwill is a nonprofit agency focused on partnering with individuals with disabilities and
challenges to help them lead the lives they envision across our eight-county region: Athens,
Fayette, Hocking, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, and Vinton. As of May 2022, Goodwill of South Central Ohio, based in Chillicothe, is serving 262 people across its region.
