Kenworth Truck, a division of PACCAR Inc., received a formal proclamation from the Ross County Commissioners on Friday, April 26, 2024, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chillicothe, Ohio, plant. The manufacturer of Class-8 Heavy Duty trucks commenced operation at the current site in 1974, with a production goal of 10 trucks per day. Today, the plant employs more than 2,000 people in the region, and 15 percent of all Class-8 trucks are manufactured at the brand’s flagship production facility.
