Long-Time Animal Welfarist Brian Winslow Tapped to Lead Petland Charities

CHILLICOTHE, OH (Feb. 2, 2026) – Petland, a leading pet retailer with nearly 60 years of history, has appointed Brian Winslow as Executive Director of Petland Charities, the company’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing pet welfare and the human-animal bond. Winslow assumed the role on January 1, 2026.

In his new position, Winslow leads Petland Charities’ expanded animal welfare initiatives, including efforts to improve breeder standards, enhance education, and advance industry-wide animal care practices. These efforts include Petland’s continued commitment to the Canine Care Certified program, and other advancements for canines.

Winslow joined Petland in 1994 and has held leadership roles across franchise operations, breeder relations, and kennel management. During his tenure, he has played a key role in strengthening processes, advancing operational excellence, and supporting responsible pet care practices.
