Spread some kindness on Chillicothe Yellow Day Friday, May 3
We often hear about unpleasant and malicious news but rarely celebrate kindness. Acts of kindness are more prevalent than we think, and it's great that we have a day to celebrate those acts.
With that in mind, Chillicothe Yellow Day has become an annual celebration of kindness and community. The 2024 edition of Yellow Day is officially set for Friday, May 3, in downtown Chillicothe.
There's just one goal: Spread kindness.
Businesses can help spread the Yellow Day cheer with bright yellow t-shirts from Hometown Apparel. Shirts are $10 apiece for regular sizes ($2 extra for 2XL and $3 for 3XL+), and you can add your business logo to the back for just $5. They must be ordered by Friday, April 19.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Yellow Day features downtown businesses collaborating with the community to perform random acts of kindness. At 11:30 a.m., a kindness rally on the steps of the Ross County Courthouse will feature speakers and students from all over Ross County.
Later in the day, EPIC Young Professionals will host a Yellow Day Afterparty, beginning at 6 p.m., at Fifty West Brewing Co. Start your weekend with a burger and your favorite beverage, or bring your family down for a fun family dinner.
What if you can't attend the courthouse event or participate in person? That's fine. Wear yellow during the day and do something nice for another person. That's a great way to celebrate your way.
Naturally, anyone can be kind at any time. Yellow Day encourages acts of kindness worldwide every day. But it's time to celebrate and motivate more kindness, and on May 3, we hope you'll join us.
